About the Role

As a key member of our human resources team, the HR and Talent Manager will play a crucial role in creating and delivering people programmes that foster a high-performing and engaged team.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in employee relations, a good working knowledge of UK employment law, and experience of designing and implementing successful D&I strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Employee Relations:
    • You will be responsible for reviewing, creating, and maintaining all people policies and procedures.
    • You will advise and coach managers on people issues to promote positive employee relations.
    • You will assist in the development of line manager people management capabilities.
    • You will manage employee relations matters, including performance, capability, conduct, absence, disciplinary, grievance, appeals, restructures, etc.
    • You will analyse data, identify trends, and propose targeted interventions.
  2. Diversity and Inclusion:
    • You will lead on diversity and inclusion activities.
    • You will design and implement strategies and initiatives that build the knowledge and confidence of our team.
    • You will maintain up-to-date knowledge of diversity and inclusion best practice.
    • You will analyse data, identify trends, track progress, and propose targeted intervention.
  3. Wellbeing:
    • You will lead on wellbeing activities and programmes.
    • You will design and develop a programme of support to promote mental and physical wellbeing.
    • You will develop a 'hub' for employees to provide accessible wellbeing information and resources.
  4. Talent Management:
    • You will lead on talent management initiatives and programmes.
    • You will keep the career framework under review and recommend changes in line with the evolving needs of the business.
    • You will partner with line managers to identify team development needs and propose solutions.

  • You have a proven track record in employee relations.
  • You have a good working knowledge of UK employment law.
  • You have experience of designing and implementing successful D&I strategies.
