We're seeking a skilled Full Stack Developer to join our team and contribute to the development of BugSnag's distributed tracing capabilities.

This role will involve designing and implementing new features, as well as refining existing services to ensure seamless efficiency and reliability. You'll have the opportunity to work with industry-leading technologies, architectures, languages, data storage solutions, and messaging frameworks.

You'll collaborate with languages like Go, Node.js, Java, and Ruby to develop observability solutions, including distributed tracing and Real User Monitoring (RUM). Our goal is to provide comprehensive insights to empower data-driven decision-making.

About the Role:

As a Full Stack Developer at SmartBear, you'll be part of an agile team focused on crafting BugSnag's core error report and observability processing systems. Your responsibilities will include taking ownership of features from design through implementation, creating automated tests, and deploying solutions into production environments.

  • Collaborate with talented engineers in designing, developing, and testing BugSnag's core systems
  • Work within a microservice architecture using Go, Node.js, Java, and Ruby, alongside Kubernetes, Docker, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Interact with storage solutions such as MongoDB, Redis, ClickHouse, and messaging technologies like gRPC/Protobuf, RabbitMQ, and Kafka

We are looking for individuals with 3+ years' experience in developing software using some of our key languages, specifically Go, Node.js, Java, or Ruby. Experience with storage solutions like MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, ClickHouse, and messaging technologies like gRPC/Protobuf, RabbitMQ, and Kafka would be beneficial.

Additional requirements include recent experience working in agile environments with continuous delivery and test-driven development. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience is also necessary. Proficiency in English is required, with a B2 level or above.

SmartBear provides a comprehensive benefits package, including a salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 annually, depending on location and experience. Additionally, we offer:
