The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Mid-Level Software Engineer with a solid grasp of MERN/MEAN stack technologies to join our team. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative software solutions that meet the strategic direction of Oliver Wyman.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop robust software solutions that meet the strategic direction of Oliver Wyman.
  • Collaborate with a team of engineers to contribute to the mentoring of junior staff and uphold high standards of code quality.
  • Stay informed and share information about technological trends to enhance the team's capabilities.

Key Qualifications

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field is preferred. A portfolio of completed projects can be considered as an alternative to formal education.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in software development with a focus on MERN/MEAN Stack technologies.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, React, Express.js, Angular, SQL, and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with GitHub for version control and CI/CD.
  • Good understanding of system design, Agile methodologies, and the software development lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of orchestration tools such as Camunda would be a plus.

Skills and Attributes

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with team members and provide guidance to and mentor junior engineers.
  • Fluent English.
  • Effective communication skills to clearly convey technical concepts to team members and stakeholders.
  • Capacity to take on supervisory responsibilities in project tasks and support team leads.
