Cloud Engineering Excellence

N-iX, a software development service company with a rich history of innovation, is looking for a skilled GCP Lead Cloud Engineer to join our Technology Office team. As a seasoned expert in cloud engineering, you will drive the design and execution of industry-relevant inventions that deliver exceptional business value from technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable, highly available, and secure application solutions that leverage cloud services.
  • Plan and execute system and application migrations to the cloud, aligning with client technical and business requirements.
  • Develop and implement cloud strategies, including multi-account approaches, identity and access management, governance, data security, and network design.
  • Assess emerging technologies, stay up-to-date with industry trends, and provide guidance on investments.
  • Facilitate the research and finalization of alternative design options to ensure enhancements align with overall business requirements.
  • Collaborate with development teams to improve infrastructure based on GCP best practices.
  • Document detailed technical designs for integration and implementation of new cloud applications and systems.
  • Evaluate and review deliverables, including architecture and design artifacts, code reviews, and more.

Requirements:

  • At least two years of experience in designing cloud-native and containerized applications in GCP.
  • At least 5 years of experience in IT with a focus on DevOps and GCP.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical, communication, and technical skills.
  • Proven ability to manage and resolve complex and ambiguous issues.
  • Hands-on experience documenting solution architecture and detailed designs.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, Big Data analytics, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
  • Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Proven experience in designing CI/CD pipelines and Agile methodologies.
  • Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Conversational English level (B2+).
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with teams.
  • Software development-related degree or equivalent in education or experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • GCP Professional Cloud Architect certification.
  • Additional AWS or Azure experience.
  • Experience in migrating large-scale customer-facing applications from on-premise to GCP environment.
  • Experience with highly available and fault-tolerant enterprise and web-scale software deployments.
  • Technical leadership experience.
