Senior Backend Developer Role at Link Group

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer to join our team at Link Group. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, developing, and maintaining complex backend applications using Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Backend Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications that meet business requirements.
  • Cloud Technology Expertise: Utilize cloud technologies, particularly Azure (GCP experience is a plus), to deploy and manage applications effectively.
  • Containerization and Orchestration: Manage containerization and orchestration with Kubernetes to ensure efficient application deployment and management.
  • Databases and Query Optimization: Optimize relational databases for performance and reliability, and use expertise in query optimization to improve database efficiency.
  • Argo Workflows: Use Argo workflows to handle complex development lifecycle processes and automate tasks.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with DevOps and other teams to maintain efficient CI/CD pipelines and communicate effectively with the team.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as a Backend Developer, specializing in Python.
  • Framwork Proficiency: Proficiency in FastAPI, Flask, or Django frameworks.
  • Cloud Platform Experience: Strong experience with Azure (or GCP) cloud platforms.
  • Kubernetes Knowledge: Solid understanding of Kubernetes and containerization best practices.
  • Databases Expertise: Expertise in relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and query optimization.
  • Workflow Management: Familiarity with Argo for workflow management and automation.
  • Problem-Solving and Teamwork: Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach and excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • CI/CD Tools and Practices: Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices.
  • Microservices Architecture: Experience with microservices architecture.
  • Infrastructure Management: Knowledge of infrastructure management tools like Terraform.
