Job Description
Brown Brothers Harriman is a premier global financial services firm seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Tax Documentation Specialist.

This role will involve the collection, validation, tracking, and archiving of tax documentation for our custody client base. You will be responsible for ensuring proper setup for initial tax withholding purposes, maintaining accurate records for ongoing tax withholding purposes, and resolving client inquiries.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  1. Reviewing and communicating with clients regarding their tax documentation.
  2. Developing an understanding of market regulatory environments, tax documentation requirements, and eligible entity types.
  3. Performing account and market reconciliations and working with Senior Analysts to resolve issues.
  4. Reviewing changes in account information to determine impact on client tax documentation and working with Senior Analysts and Manager to resolve.
  5. Participating in solicitation processes for new documentation, as necessary, and proactively soliciting from assigned client service bases.
  6. Assuming additional tax functions as business needs develop.
  7. Responding to internal client inquiries relating to tax compliance, tax reporting matters, or tax documentation matters.
  8. Escalating to senior analyst or manager on tax documentation/compliance issues to mitigate risk for BBH and its clients.
  9. Working with the team to establish and/or improve procedures for tax compliance-related activities.

Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Tax knowledge/experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to convey information to internal and external clients.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of monitoring and completing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • The ability to work in a potentially high-pressure, client-driven environment under daily deadlines.
