About the Role

Brown Brothers Harriman is seeking a highly skilled Senior Full-Stack Developer to join our Securities Lending team in Krakow. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business-critical applications that meet the needs of our Securities Lending Business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop high-quality application functionality that meets business requirements within given deadlines.
  • Contribute to application design, including creating proofs of concept or prototypes, technical design, and system integration patterns.
  • Participate in requirements definition, bringing technical expertise to define application requirements in collaboration with business analysts and stakeholders.
  • Thoroughly test all functionality, utilizing detailed and thorough practices, and work collaboratively with business areas to support UAT testing.
  • Provide responsive support for business areas, quickly resolving issues encountered in the production environment.
  • Be part of a Scrum development team, following Agile development principles.

Desired Qualifications
  • Java 11+ with solid experience in core Java and libraries (5+ years).
  • Strong foundation in Object Oriented Programming and Design Patterns (Clean code, SOLID).
  • Spring platform experience, including Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Security, and Spring Boot.
  • Experience with ORM frameworks (JPA, Hibernate) and databases (Oracle).
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks, including Angular 2+ and TypeScript.
  • High proficiency in development practices, including unit testing, Continuous Integration, refactoring, and clean code.
  • Experience with test frameworks, such as JUnit, Spock, and Mockito.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
  • Web technical stack experience, including developing web applications in Java (REST services, websockets).
  • Tools experience, including Tomcat, Red Hat OpenShift, and Oracle.
  • Good command of English.
