Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Data Monitoring Solutions Architect to join our Observability platform team at Splunk Inc. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with engineering, design, and GTM teams to define and drive innovative capabilities around monitoring, visualization, and alerting experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and communicate them effectively within the organization.
  • Maintain a view of market trends, competition, and technologies, and incorporate this knowledge into product direction.
  • Collaborate with product marketing, support, and sales teams to drive GTM efforts and address business limiters.

Requirements:

  • Prioritize requirements across conflicting dimensions and ensure clarity on minimum capabilities.
  • Identify significant opportunities in ambiguous areas and build consensus around roadmaps.
  • Demonstrate a passion for customer journey, user experience, usability, and simplicity, with a knack for diving deep into technical requirements.
  • Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead, collaborate, and influence through persuasion, patience, and energy.
  • Familiarity with Cloud Provider platforms and services, with comfort deploying simple examples for demonstration or marketing activities.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify patterns and synthesize disparate data into a coherent whole.
  • Experience with developing software, understanding engineering tradeoffs, and an intuition for developer and operator needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of experience in product management or technical product management roles.
  • Experience in customer-facing technical roles, such as Technical Consultant, Solution Architect, Pre-sales Consultant, Sales Engineering, or Technical Marketing.
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • MBA from a top-tier program.
  • Background in enterprise SaaS, particularly in monitoring or analytics.
  • Participation in all stages of the software development lifecycle, with experience in Agile software methodologies.
