About the Role:

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at Warner Bros. Discovery. As a key member of our accounting team, you'll be responsible for performing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records, and complying with US GAAP and company policies for various businesses within EMEA territories.

This is a unique opportunity to work with one of the world's leading media and entertainment companies, where you'll have the chance to develop your skills and expertise in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  1. Content Accounting: You will oversee the day-to-day accounting operations of the Content Accounting team, including the accounting of EMEA content assets, such as licensed programming, locally produced programming, HBO and D+ licensed original programming, and language versioning materials.
  2. Financial Reporting: You will prepare and review financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  3. Compliance: You will ensure compliance with US GAAP and company policies, including SOX requirements and internal control environment.
  4. Team Collaboration: You will work closely with team members, operations, and finance to troubleshoot and solve accounting issues during the month end close process.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in an accounting role and a strong understanding of US GAAP, IFRS, and SOX requirements.
  • Education: BS/BA in Accounting from an accredited university.
  • Professional Certifications: CPA or Chartered Accountant (CA) strongly preferred.
