We are looking for a skilled individual to join our team as a Mobile Test Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of mobile platform solutions for both iOS and Android.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Collaborating closely with a Scrum development team to ensure the quality and functionality of mobile platform solutions.
  • Designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test plans and test cases, covering both manual and automated testing processes.
  • Performing functional, regression, performance, and security testing to ensure applications meet quality standards.
  • Identifying, documenting, and managing defects using bug tracking tools, and working with developers to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Participating in Scrum ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, providing insights and updates on testing progress.
  • Reviewing user stories and acceptance criteria to ensure they are clear, complete, and testable.
  • Continuously improving testing processes and methodologies, adopting best practices and new technologies to enhance quality assurance.
  • Staying updated with the latest mobile testing trends and tools to ensure the adoption of cutting-edge practices.
  • Conducting usability testing to ensure a seamless user experience across different devices and platforms.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering high-quality mobile applications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively to identify potential issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a Scrum team environment.
  • A proactive attitude and the ability to take initiative in identifying areas for improvement in testing processes.
  • A strong understanding of the mobile application development lifecycle and the unique challenges of testing on different platforms.
  • The ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Required skills and experience include:

  • Proven experience as a Mobile QA Tester, with a focus on testing iOS and Android applications.
  • Proficiency in using testing tools and frameworks such as Appium, Selenium, or similar.
  • Experience with both manual and automated testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working within a Scrum team.
  • Strong knowledge of mobile operating systems, devices, and testing best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent work experience will also be considered.
  • Experience with bug tracking tools such as JIRA or similar.
  • Knowledge of programming languages for test automation, such as Java or Python, is a plus.
