At Saventic Health, we are an international company focused on innovation in rare diseases. Our team consists of professionals from medicine, science, technology, and management working together to create algorithms using artificial intelligence for diagnosing rare diseases.
We are currently seeking a Data Engineer to develop our analytical capabilities. This role involves the implementation of a new architecture that combines data extraction from medical centers, data quality verification, creation of a feature store, and upload of the data to the database. Additionally, we aim to develop a platform with a functionality for detecting clinical symptoms in patients who do not have specific phrases written in their medical description. In the next stages, we plan to develop a large model that will be the core for finding rare diseases.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain ETL processes, data pipelines in BIG DATA architecture
- Create and maintain data pipelines: receiving data from medical units and structuring data in an internal database
- Expand tools supporting data quality control processes
- Optimize data processing processes and SQL query optimization
- Automate data delivery processes to the data warehouse
- Monitor data delivery and processing processes
- Design and create a Data Lake, Data Mart, and Feature Store for visualization and modeling purposes
- Create a pipeline for data processing in the scope of CI/CD
Required Qualification:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Statistics, or related fields
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Prior experience in working with on-premise environments is advantageous
- Familiarity with BIG DATA methodology
- Practical experience in using Linux, Git, Python, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Proficiency in Kedro, Soda, Great Expectations, Airflow
- Detailed understanding of designing and creating optimal ETL processes in the Big Data domain
- Strong programming skills in Python
- Commercial experience in implementing ETL processes on-premises is advantageous
- Understanding of the data model lifecycle
- Proficiency in English (B2 level minimum)
- Will to travel several times a year
