Job Overview

Selvita, a global integrated drug discovery partner, is seeking a skilled Scientist to join our team in Krakow. As a Molecular Biology and Genetic Engineering expert, you will play a crucial role in developing tools and assays for the Drug Discovery process.

About the Role

You will work in a collaborative environment with experienced researchers, designing and conducting molecular cloning, genome engineering, and cell culture experiments. Your expertise in CRISPR/Cas9, TALEN, and ZFN techniques will be invaluable in this position.

Responsibilities
  • Molecular cloning, including design, conduct, and optimization of cloning procedures.
  • Genome engineering, focusing on gRNA design and cloning.
  • Production of lentiviral vectors and their use in eukaryotic cell lines.
  • Culture and banking of eukaryotic cell lines, including chemical transfection and viral transduction.
  • Introduction of RNA/DNA/protein into eukaryotic cell lines using various methods.
  • Gene silencing through siRNA and other approaches.
  • Designing primers for PCR and qPCR, as well as conducting these assays.
  • Isolation of protein, protein electrophoresis, and Western blotting.
  • Flow cytometry, including experiment design and conduct.
Your Background
  • PhD degree with 2+ years of experience in molecular biology and genetics.
  • Prior industrial or academic experience in relevant fields.
  • Strong knowledge of molecular biology techniques, including molecular cloning, gene expression, and protein analysis.
  • Experience with CRISPR/Cas9, TALEN, and ZFN techniques, as well as flow cytometry and other advanced research tools.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to present research results and methodologies effectively.
