As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our business. You will be responsible for developing a deep understanding of our current and target states for the Financial Engineering Infrastructure and modelling processes.
You will work closely with key stakeholders to produce business requirements and specifications for the modelling infrastructure tooling, innovation solutions, and other changes. Your expertise will be invaluable in driving agile delivery and taking a lead in agile ceremonies, such as Scrum Master.
Additionally, you will lead knowledge sharing with modelling teams in adoption of the Financial Engineering coding excellence standards and support user trainings. Your skills will also be essential in defining the business/functional architecture for model execution and monitoring, working closely with Financial Engineering Developers on various stages of model deployment, facilitating implementation of new models, planning and carrying out functional testing for changes, supporting analysis and resolution of production issues and users' model queries, and potentially leading a small team of Business Analysts.
What You'll Need
To succeed in this role, you will require a degree in a quantitative subject and a minimum of 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in banking. You will also need knowledge in Credit risk modelling for EAD, LGD, PD model types, preferably under the AIRB framework.
Your strong background in business analysis within change delivery and proficiency with producing artefacts such as business requirements, worked examples, functional architecture, data specifications, test plans, etc. will be crucial. Proven experience with data analysis involving data manipulation, definition of controls, and lineage is also required. Agile ways of working, at least intermediate proficiency in SQL, Python, and proficiency in JIRA will be necessary.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including high proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and diagram-drawing tools (Visio), will be essential. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to handle conflict, manage expectations, self-starter attitude, can-do mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and experience in working with global teams across different geographies, culture, and time-zones will be highly valued.
