We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer II to join our Product and Engineering Organisation in Kraków, Poland. This role is perfect for individuals who have a genuine passion for solving large-scale challenges using new technologies.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team of engineers from around the globe to build scalable, high-performance products and services. As a Software Engineer II, you will collaborate closely with your colleagues to design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge software solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing and maintaining complex software systems using languages such as Java, Scala, Ruby, Python, and JavaScript.
  • Pairing with engineers to learn about our current technology stack and architecture.
  • Designing and implementing efficient algorithms and data structures to improve system performance.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize technical projects.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and improvement.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience in software development, preferably in a similar role.
  • Coding skills in at least one programming language, and a desire to learn more.
  • Experience working with technologies such as AWS Cloud and its services like EMR, ECS, S3, and RDS.
  • Knowledge of building large, highly scalable distributed systems capable of managing substantial traffic.
  • Familiarity with performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes.
  • Ability to impact quality of own work and the work of others within the team.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work in distributed teams located across the world.
