As the digital backbone of SAP, the Corporate Processes & Information Technology organization is the cornerstone of SAP's strategic execution. Our mission is to drive operational efficiency and innovation by leveraging advanced Business AI solutions.

Our goal is to facilitate SAP's transformation, enabling scalability and operational leverage. We strive for excellence through a customer-focused cloud operating model, emphasizing customer adoption, satisfaction, and process streamlining through optimization and automation.

We seek an IT professional adept in agile development practices to deliver top-tier IT solutions for our usage-based business processes, contributing to the continuous evolution of our technological landscape.

Expectations and Tasks

  • Assume responsibility for the entire development lifecycle, crafting user-centric solutions, building robust backend functionalities, and ensuring smooth integration across system components.
  • Collaborate with a skilled team to revolutionize our business processes and operations. You'll delve into diverse areas, broadening your expertise in technologies and applications such as SAP BRIM, Business Technology Platform (BTP), S/4HANA, and cloud engineering.
  • Engage with local and global development teams, partners, and customers to enhance communication and cultivate a cooperative work environment.

Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies

We are seeking a candidate with:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or related fields.
  • Proficiency in English, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively in an international environment.
  • At least 10 years of ABAP development experience (especially ABAP OO), with knowledge of SAP solutions like BRIM or FI, SD modules, CRM, and S/4HANA.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle and methodologies.
  • Understanding of SAP Business Master Data models, process and data modeling, and modern architecture paradigms.
  • Knowledge of design patterns, Clean Code, CI/CD, Code review, TDD, integration patterns, API management, security concepts, and software quality assurance and testing methods.
  • Familiarity with ABAP Cloud, RAP, steampunk platform, and Subscription Management processes is advantageous.
  • Experience in leading projects and troubleshooting complex software issues.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changes and work in an agile environment, utilizing methodologies like SCRUM, SAFe, and KANBAN.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, high-performance products on schedule.
  • Independent and team-oriented work ethic, strong analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Quick learning aptitude for new knowledge areas.

Work Experience

  • Solid professional background in software development (ABAP/ABAP OO).
  • Prior experience with SCRUM and Agile methodologies is highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality software solutions within tight deadlines.
  • Experience in working with cross-functional teams and facilitating effective communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A track record of continuous professional development and staying abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies.
  • Experience in mentoring junior developers and leading by example to foster a culture of technical excellence.
