Job Description

We are seeking a Strategic Category Director to join our team at Michael Page. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for developing and executing purchasing strategies that drive business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement category management strategies to optimize product offerings and pricing
  2. Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable purchasing conditions
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product availability and quality across all channels
  4. Lead a high-performing purchasing team to achieve goals and objectives
  5. Analyze market trends and competitor activity to inform strategic purchasing decisions
  6. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in category management and procurement

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a similar position
  • Proven track record of driving business growth and profitability through strategic purchasing initiatives
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
  • Proficiency in English at a minimum of B2 level
