Senior Full-Stack Developer Opportunity in Agile Environment

Job Description

This is a hands-on position where you will be involved in requirements analysis, functional and technical design discussions, testing, proof-of-concept, working with partners, and more. This is not a task-based job; you will be responsible for successful outcomes and delivery.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Build out new capabilities in an existing Ruby on Rails web application.
  • Write consistent well thought out unit and system tests for all new features
  • Enhance the existing evaluation data model and framework by building out features that improve CRUD operations
  • Deliver consistent simple solutions that align with existing css and JS conventions in the platform
  • Improve the web UI with new user interfaces that make data collection intuitive for a wide audience
  • Develop performant solutions prioritizing end customer satisfaction while using the web application

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in Ruby on Rails web development.
  • Strong SQL skills and familiarity with Postgres.
  • Ability to understand complex Rails controllers.
  • Ability to develop features including nested attributes of Rails models.
  • Ability to utilize bootstrap js effectively.
  • Ability to use ActiveJob frameworks to offload tasks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to work effectively across teams.
  • BS/BA or equivalent degree in computer science or similar (preferred).
