About the RoleKalepa is seeking a highly skilled Backend Engineer with 3 years of experience to lead software development for commercial insurers. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will tackle interesting and challenging problems at the intersection of large data pipelines, distributed systems, and robust infrastructure.
You will have full ownership over your projects and drive the project's direction and maintain focus. Our team works in two-week sprints and collaborates with a small team of full-stack, data, ML, and DevOps engineers.
Tech Stack: Python, Connexion, React Query, Typescript, Docker
Responsibilities- Work on distributed systems, creating scalable, fault-tolerant infrastructure
- Build data-driven microservices leveraging RESTful APIs
- Understand customer business needs and translate them into specifications or code
- Collaborate with a small team of full-stack, data, ML, and DevOps engineers
- Minimum of 3 years of experience
- Excellent development skills, including design, debugging, and problem-solving
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field
- Experience with AWS, including serverless technologies and asynchronous workflow
- Experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL
