Flexographic Press Specialist

About the Role

MCC Label is seeking a skilled Flexographic Press Operator to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating our flexographic presses to produce high-quality labels.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure all plant and corporate safety rules, procedures, and guidelines are followed.
• Report any safety concerns or issues to your supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and area by completing daily housekeeping assignments.
• Complete make-ready in accordance with the Job Ticket and Product Specification documents to ensure correct print cylinders, inks, substrates, tooling, and anilox rollers are used.
• Responsible for completing all required quality checks related to product specifications, visual, and functional checks.
• Operate the press to produce product in accordance to customer specifications while maintaining quality, waste, and press efficiency.
• Maintain consistent quality during the production run. Critical quality checks include copy, color, and registration, and ink adhesion.
• Responsible for completing all related procedures, work instructions, and quality measurements as outlined in the BRC standard.
• Complete press make ready's in an efficient manner.
• Complete all required equipment maintenance duties.
• Clean plate, cylinder, and ink pans, and lubricate the press as needed.
• Input all required information into the Radius system.

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience as a printing press operator and/or training.
