Job Description:

The Senior DevOps Engineer will be responsible for managing and advancing our DevOps practices, focusing on introducing best DevOps practices, solutions based in public clouds, automating infrastructure, and ensuring robust and scalable automation solutions. This role requires deep technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and the ability to drive strategic initiatives across teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading major DevOps projects, including planning, execution, and delivery. Manage project timelines, resources, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Providing technical leadership in developing infrastructure strategies and DevOps practices, as well as providing technical guidance and support to other teams and stakeholders.
  • Mentoring and supporting other team members.
  • Creating and managing CI/CD pipelines on Gitlab, architecting and enhancing them to ensure efficient and reliable build, test, and deployment processes. Implementing best practices to streamline and automate workflows.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and leading initiatives to enhance DevOps workflows.
  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure and tools for deployment, monitoring, and automation.
  • Implementing security controls and practices to protect data and applications.
  • Maintenance of existing developer and client environments.
  • Diagnosing and solving various issues related to application environment and performance (GCP, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, NVIDIA GPUs).
  • Creating solutions that enhance the developer experience.
  • Cooperating with Developers, Administrators, Product Owners - experts in the fields of CGI, Data Science, AI, Computer Vision.
  • Creating software documentation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, IT (or equivalent experience)
  • 8+ years of experience
  • Proficient with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps release management
  • Technology understanding of Docker, Git, GitLab, and one of the following AWS/GCP
  • Experience in similar position at mature organization
  • Practical Linux skills and scripting capabilities in one of the following Bash/Python
  • Motivation, strong ownership, and drive to get things done
  • Ability to read and write documentation in English (B2/C1 level)
