This project involves working with large datasets, designing distributed systems, and integrating with multiple search engines and cloud-based technologies. You will lead projects on building performant, scalable, and secure software systems that operate at massive scales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and design high-quality software systems that meet business requirements and are aligned with company goals
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Applied Science and Product, to develop innovative search solutions and migrate existing systems
  • Build and maintain secure and performant systems integrated with Large Language Models (LLMs) and vector search technologies
  • Apply object-oriented principles, SOLID principles, and design patterns to drive value for users
  • Contribute technical guidance to the software development team to ship high-quality software that operates on massive data sets
  • Conduct comprehensive testing, static analysis, and rigorous test strategy development
  • Improve the software development process by recommending and implementing changes in procedures
  • Provide education and coaching on best practices to team members

Requirements:

  • At least five years of experience in software development using C# and relational databases, with experience in no-SQL databases (e.g., ElasticSearch)
  • Nice to have: experience with Vector Search technologies and Rust programming language
  • Understanding of cloud-native architecture patterns, distributed system architecture patterns, and practical approach to maintaining high-load production systems in the cloud
  • Experience in Agile software development teams, including mentoring and project leadership
  • Experience developing scalable solutions in Azure or other cloud platforms and building observable systems with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs)
  • Experience in Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
