Quality Assurance Engineer Role

As a QA Engineer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the high-quality experience our customers expect from our products. Your key responsibilities will include creating and executing test plans, identifying and resolving defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive quality throughout our software development process.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to ensure product quality.
  • Identify and report defects, working closely with development teams to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and software engineers to understand system requirements and provide feedback throughout the development process.
  • Define, develop, and implement quality assurance practices, procedures, and test cases.
  • Work with the support organization to triage and reproduce customer-reported issues, ensuring root causes are identified and resolved.
  • Perform regression testing to ensure changes do not adversely affect existing functionality.
  • Create automated test cases when appropriate.
  • Write, debug, and maintain test scripts for positive, negative, and boundary condition cases.
  • Communicate and escalate unacceptable quality risks to assigned Scrum teams and management.

Your Qualifications

  • A minimum of three to five years of experience in Quality Assurance, with a solid understanding of QA principles and best practices.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira, Confluence, and test case management systems.
  • Experience in multi-location team environments is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in HTML (including Chrome DevTools), JavaScript, SQL, document databases, API testing tools, and Linux command line.
  • Bonus points if you have experience working with integrations to accounting and CRM systems, preferably SaaS.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, combined with independent thinking and curiosity.
  • Excellent teamwork and partnering skills for effective cross-group collaboration.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Test automation experience is a nice-to-have.
