Company Overview

Mondial Relay is a leading provider of parcel shipping and delivery services in Europe, with a network of Relay Points and Lockers that create links between e-merchants, merchants, and consumers.

We are seeking a skilled Software Development Expert to join our European technology team, which numbers around 600 people, including 100 software engineers in the Mondial Relay department.

As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the transformation of our information system and participate in the execution and construction of business applications.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable and efficient software systems
  • Develop high-quality software that meets the scale and volatility of our business
  • Set technology trends for the team and the company
  • Own technical development, long-term planning, and delivery of complex applications covering significant business areas
  • Provide technical mentoring to development team members

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in a similar position and in working in agile methodologies
  • Spoken and written English and French, which you will use on a daily basis
  • Deep understanding of technology, market trends, and standards in software development
  • Experience in designing scalable and efficient distributed systems
  • Practical knowledge of Java, Spring, JavaScript frameworks, Docker, Kubernetes, Rabbit MQ, and other relevant technologies
  • A high degree of understanding of the need to automate the software delivery process and practical experience of CI/CD tools and practices
  • Good knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, Redis, and other relevant databases
  • Hands-on experience of developing cloud-native applications will be highly beneficial
  • Independence, proactivity, organization of your own work and that of your product team
