Stamping Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Stamping Engineer to join our team at Phillips-Medisize. As a Stamping Engineer, you will be responsible for coordinating all stages of development and maintenance in the production of injection molds and stamping tools to achieve technical and quality KPIs set by external and internal customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the NPI/capacity expansion/refurbishment stamping/tooling process by inputting manufacturing POV
• Support design review for tools and components related to stamping/tooling equipment and process
• Perform feasibility studies
• Develop knowledge of stamping tool design and medical reel-to-reel production
• Develop knowledge of injection mold design, hot runners, and mold manufacturing and maintenance
• Be responsible and key person during DQ/IQ/OQ/PQ phases for new or transfer applications
• Improve tools construction and process
• Evaluate new process flow for new stamping die and process
• Work closely with Automation and Injection process engineers for design and process optimization
• Apply knowledge of stamping die design, tooling fabrication, materials for tooling, and standard equipment
• Evaluate Mass Production and Manufacturability meeting OEE/POEE performance
• Analyze the problem of stamping/tooling process and improve
• Keep drawings to the latest version
• FAI debugging, refurbish new die design review, and die layout optimization
• Improve die punching speed and reduce downtime

Requirements

• Degree in engineering: Molding/Tooling/Stamping
• Good knowledge and understanding of metrology and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
• Good sense of urgency and ability to complete tasks on time
• Advanced analytical skills and quick response to new issues
• Self-monitoring workload and multi-tasking
• English: Business level knowledge and reading engineering 2D/3D drawings
• Experience in stamping die and injection molding design
• Major education in engineering field related to manufacturing and technical drawing knowledge
• Familiar with 3D Automation Design-NX/Catia Software and equivalent
• Understanding of tooling design and specification
• Experience on Stamping die and knowledge of Metal Material features
