About the Role

The Senior Auditor position at Citigroup, Inc. is a critical role that requires a high level of expertise in model development and validation. As a member of the Internal Audit team, you will be responsible for managing internal audit model risk activities, completing assigned audits within budgeted timeframes, and contributing to the development of audit processes improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Internal Audit Model Risk activities, including ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Complete assigned audits within budgeted timeframes and budgeted costs, utilizing effective project management skills to ensure timely completion.
  • Contribute to the development of audit processes improvements, including the development of automated routines to help focus audit testing and enhance efficiency.
  • Draft audit reports, presenting issues to the business while discussing practical cross-functional solutions and recommending appropriate and pragmatic solutions to risk and control issues.
  • Develop internal audit staff, providing coaching to team members and promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 4 years of relevant experience in model development or validation, preferably in an auditing or financial services environment.
  • A good understanding of the Model Development or Model Validation process, with a specialization in one or more areas such as Market Risk, Credit Risk, Loss Forecasting, Wholesale, Retail, PPNR, Consumer Valuation, AML, Basel, CCAR, Scenario design and CECL.
  • Audit experience is preferred, but not required; however, the ability to understand and analyze complex financial data is essential.
  • Effective verbal, written communication, negotiation and influencing skills are necessary to collaborate with stakeholders and drive results.
  • Good project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
