Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Procurement Category Manager to join our Supply Chain team in Kraków, Poland. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading procurement strategies and executing category plans to deliver business results and drive cost savings.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, negotiation, and supplier management, with experience working with large, complex engineering, procurement, and construction projects. You will be able to develop and implement effective sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and analyze data to inform procurement decisions.
This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently or as part of a team environment. A creative problem solver with excellent time-management and prioritization skills, you will be able to maintain long-term productive relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts that meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute procurement strategies and category plans to achieve business objectives.
- Manage supplier relationships, including negotiation, contract administration, and performance monitoring.
- Analyze data to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and coordination on procurement initiatives.
- BA/BS degree required (preferably MBA)
- Minimum 10 years of procurement experience (preferably within industries with large, complex engineering, procurement, and construction projects)
- Strong negotiation, benchmarking, market analysis, competitive intelligence, and procurement project management skills
- Experience with vendor management, including purchase order issuance, execution, and administration
- Demonstrated ability to gather, analyze, and draw conclusions from quantitative data
