Salary

The estimated annual salary for this position is around 100,000-120,000 PLN (approximately $23,500-$27,800 USD), depending on your level of experience and qualifications.

Job Description

As a Back-end Engineer for Samsung Ads Project Data Services, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing backend services using Python, Ruby on Rails, and Scala. You will work closely with our cross-functional team to develop and maintain scalable and optimized data pipelines for efficient collection, processing, and storage of data.

You will also collaborate with data scientists and product managers to refine and improve attribution methodologies and participate in R&D projects related to Cloud Services. Additionally, you will establish and follow best coding practices, conduct A/B testing, and ensure software quality through unit, integration, and functional tests.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing backend services using Python, Ruby on Rails, and Scala
  • Collaborating with data scientists and product managers to refine and improve attribution methodologies
  • Participating in R&D projects related to Cloud Services
  • Establishing and following best coding practices
  • Conducting A/B testing and ensuring software quality through unit, integration, and functional tests
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have at least three years of commercial experience in developing Python and Scala. You should also have proficiency in data engineering, especially in projects using Hive/Spark, and experience in working with Kubernetes and stream data processing frameworks.

Familiarity with database technologies like Snowflake, PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, and good understanding of SQL, including optimization of SQL queries, is essential. Additionally, you should have experience in working with large datasets and knowledge of protocols and data exchange formats like HTTP/1.1/2.0, RESTful API, and gRPC.

Your skills and qualifications should include:
