We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Native Java Developer to join our Digital Hangar team in Poland.

Digital Hangar (DH) is an innovation hub within the Lufthansa Group that focuses on upgrading the company's digital business models, introducing original product ideas and leveraging cutting-edge digital technologies for a future-proof approach.

As part of DH, we prioritize delivering working solutions that cater to the Lufthansa Group's needs. Our development process involves frequent updates to production, aligned with DevOps principles. We utilize the latest technologies and services such as Storage Services, Kubernetes Services, making them an integral part of our daily work.

In addition, our team is responsible for researching new technologies and solutions from the IT market, which will be your key responsibilities.

We are looking for a skilled Senior Java Developer who will lead the design and development of cloud-native applications using the latest tech stack. Your responsibilities will include the full lifecycle of our products, from concept to deployment and beyond, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance, scalability, and reliability.

We use a wide range of technologies:

Java 21+, Spring ecosystem, Spock and Testcontainers, Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Storage/NoSql services, Azure Saas/PaaS, MS SQL, RabbitMQ, Kafka

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • At least 4 years' experience as a similar position,
  • Experience in microservice approach,
  • Experience with working with distributed message broker and distributed event streaming platform,
  • Experience in working in DevOps and CI/CD,
  • Knowledge of RESTful services,
  • Practical knowledge of design patterns and good practices of coding,
  • Expertise in software quality assurance,
  • Excellent knowledge of Polish & English language.

You should also possess excellent team collaboration skills, the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, confidently propose new ideas and improvements backed by data and research, and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
