We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Data Engineering & AI to join our team and take on the challenge of spearheading our data engineering and AI initiatives across the company.

The Job Description:

As the Head of Data Engineering & AI, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring data engineering and AI/ML teams, ensuring they have the necessary skills and expertise to deliver exceptional results. You will also be responsible for architecting and implementing scalable data solutions, enhancing existing reporting mechanisms, and developing and integrating tools that empower data analysts and scientists.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and mentor data engineering and AI/ML teams to ensure they have the necessary skills and expertise to deliver exceptional results.
  2. Architect and implement scalable data solutions with a focus on maintainability and performance.
  3. Enhance existing reporting mechanisms to drive data-informed decision-making.
  4. Develop and integrate tools that empower data analysts and scientists.
  5. Oversee the development, deployment, and fine-tuning of AI models.
  6. Ensure best practices are implemented in cloud platforms, data lakes, and warehouses.
RequirementsSkills and Experience:
  • 8+ years of experience in data engineering and/or cloud/web engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in leading teams and directly communicating with clients.
  • Proficiency with cloud ETL tools such as AWS Glue and Azure Data Factory (ADF) for building data pipelines and orchestrating workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with DBT for data transformation and modeling.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling techniques and best practices.
  • Expertise in SQL for querying and manipulating large datasets.
  • Experience building, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines and overall data platforms.
  • Experience with data orchestration frameworks and tools such as AWS Lambda, Cloud Functions, and schedulers like Airflow.
  • Knowledge of at least one popular programming language used for statistical analysis.
  • Experience working with Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and Data Mesh.
  • Experience with cloud-based infrastructure providers.
Ai/Ml:
  • Expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs), Natural Language Processing (NLP), and deep learning techniques.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit, Pandas, and other AI/ML and data science frameworks.
  • Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms, data structures, and data processing techniques.
  • Hands-on experience deploying AI/ML models into production environments.
Additional Skills:
  • Knowledge of reporting and data visualization best practices.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools.
  • A Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.
  • Ability to work in a highly professional team with an informal and friendly atmosphere.
