We are seeking a seasoned Engineering Manager to lead our mid-size engineering team at Kitopi, the world's leading tech-powered multi-brand restaurant. Our mission is to satisfy the world's appetite by delivering innovative and scalable software solutions.

Your Role

As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading a cross-functional team of engineers, ensuring exceptional results, and high-quality products. You'll collaborate closely with Product Managers and Data Analysts to drive product decisions based on data. Your expertise will be crucial in understanding timelines and dependencies, coordinating the team, and communicating technical constraints and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a mid-size engineering team to deliver exceptional results and high-quality products.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Data Analysts to drive product decisions based on data.
  • Understand timelines and dependencies, coordinating the team accordingly.
  • Communicate technical constraints and opportunities to stakeholders.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, mentorship, and collaboration within the team.
  • Provide coaching and leadership to individual contributors.
  • Develop team autonomy and align with product managers to define and measure essential product KPIs.
  • Ensure the team meets technical standards, such as code quality, security, and controlling technical debt.

About You

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in managing mid-sized highly performing engineering teams.
  • A profound understanding of the engineering field, supported by a strong background in software development.
  • Experience collaborating across various functions, including Design, QA, System Engineering, Architecture, and Product.
  • Proficiency in project management, effective communication, and stakeholder management.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, such as Kanban and Scrum.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Strong English language proficiency, both written and spoken.
