Job Title: Software Development Engineer in Test

As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET III) at Vonage, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks, test suites, and scripts to ensure continuous integration, testing, deployment, and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop automated testing frameworks, test suites, and scripts to ensure continuous integration, testing, deployment, and delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and product, to identify and prioritize testing requirements.
  • Develop and maintain test automation frameworks, including API testing, UI testing, and performance testing.
  • Identify and report defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues.
  • Develop and maintain test data, including test scripts, test cases, and test environments.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure testing is integrated into the development process.
  • Develop and maintain test automation reports, including test coverage, test execution, and test results.
Requirements:
  • 6+ years of experience in test automation, with a focus on software development and testing.
  • Proficiency in programming languages, including Python, Java, Go, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, including AWS, and resources such as EC2, EKS, Lambda, Kinesis, S3, and AWS CI/CD pipeline.
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including testing applications with multi-tier and distributed architecture.
  • API testing expertise, including knowledge of REST and SOAP APIs.
  • Experience with API automation tools, including Postman and SoapUI.
  • Experience developing test scripts at a highly proficient level.
  • Experience with load, performance, and scalability testing.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with data science and big data frameworks, including Cassandra.
  • Experience working with XML, XSLT, and JSON.
  • Exposure to API security testing and vulnerability testing.
