Job Title: Lead Performance Quality Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Performance Quality Engineer to join our team at Kingfisher. As a key member of our performance testing team, you will be responsible for designing and executing performance tests to ensure the quality and reliability of our applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyse service/application/hardware under test, performance testing requirements, and project acceptance criteria
  • Design test scenarios and produce project test plans
  • Direct partner resources in executing approved test plans
  • Build and test performance scenarios
  • Execute tests, collate results from performance test tool, and produce analysis reports
  • Contribute to performance bottleneck identification and resolution
  • Responsible for adhering to all internal policy and procedures in relation to security and quality best practice
  • Conduct Proof Of Concepts for new Performance Testing requirements where necessary
  • Attend project/team workshops and formulate performance testing requirements
  • Take responsibility and accountability for multiple on-going projects from initial startup/design to close where performance testing is required
  • Hold internal performance testing meetings ensuring project success including internal and external team members
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of performance test principles
  • Deep understanding of the performance test project lifecycle and deliverables
  • Considerable proven track record in performance testing
  • Knowledge of multiple performance testing tools (such as LoadRunner, JMeter, Gattling etc.) along with extensive experience using the LoadRunner family of tools
  • Integrating Performance Tools into a CI/CD pipeline (Jenkins, Gitlab)
  • Technical Experience using APM tools (Dynatrace, Datadog, Grafana)
  • Technical Experience performance testing deployments/instances on AWS, Azure, GCP & Kubernetes
  • Key testing experience with SAP, PIM, Middleware (IIB), Kafka, microservice architecture (Rest & SOAP orientated), e-commerce platforms and Oracle ATG
  • Understanding of data requirements and methods of generating that data
  • Experience of testing multiple e-commerce platforms and environments in the retail industry
  • Retail industry testing experience, including Digital, In-store and Supply Chain
  • Understanding of the challenges of performance testing internal, SaaS and hybrid application landscapes
  • Experience of working directly with internal clients/teams
  • Experience of interfacing with, and directing, partner teams and resources
  • Ability to context switch between different deliverables efficiently and quickly
