Expert Manufacturing Test Engineer

At Aptiv, we are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Test Development Specialist to join our global team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing test processes in manufacturing to support new product launches in mass production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize manufacturing functional tests, working closely with product development design experts.
  • Lead the acquisition of new test equipment, ensuring compliance with industrialization timing.
  • Collaborate with Aptiv manufacturing locations to receive, install, debug, and release test equipment.
  • Establish documentation and provide training for test equipment and processes, adhering to Aptiv guidelines.
  • Ensure test equipment compliance with product quality, test requirements, and costs.
  • Support product development teams and collaborate with Lead Manufacturing Engineers to ensure flawless launches.
  • Plan and conduct test peer reviews.
  • Support OEM RFQ phases by estimating equipment costs, lead times, and test times.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent with relevant work experience.
  • Proficient software development skills in National Instruments LabView, NI LabWindows CVI, NI TestStand, C++, or C.
  • Basic project management capabilities.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of mechanical design of test tooling.
  • Knowledge of automotive communication protocols and flashing concepts of memory devices.
  • Knowledge of 6-sigma-for-Test and statistical methods.
  • Good problem-solving capability, including hands-on S/W debugging.
  • Knowledge of electronics measurement devices and equipment.
  • Ability to work in a global network environment.
  • Energetic, self-motivated, and proactive work style.
  • Fluent Business English.
