Financial Reporting and Analysis Role

The GL Controller plays a crucial role in performing period-end closing activities, ensuring accurate reporting and reconciliation. This position requires close collaboration with the Europe Accounting and Reporting Manager to adhere to global corporate standards and local requirements.

Main Tasks:
  • OVERSEE GENERAL LEDGER ACCOUNTS, ENSURING ACCURACY AND COMPLETENESS.
  • REVIEW AND SIGN-OFF ON RELEVANT REPORTING AND RECONCILIATIONS, GUARANTEEING COMPLIANCE WITH GLOBAL STANDARDS.
  • PERFORM PERIOD-END CLOSING ACTIVITIES, ALIGNING WITH OPERATIONAL PROCEDURES, CORPORATE POLICIES, AND LOCAL REGULATIONS.
  • PREPARE STATISTICAL AND OTHER LOCAL REPORTING, PROVIDING VALUABLE INSIGHTS TO STAKEHOLDERS.
  • MEDIATE BETWEEN INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL STAKEHOLDERS, RESPONDING PROMPTLY TO THEIR QUERIES.
  • SUPPORT EXTERNAL AND INTERNAL AUDITORS, FACILITATING THEIR REQUESTS AND INQUIRIES.
  • IDENTIFY PROCESS IMPROVEMENT OPPORTUNITIES AND PARTICIPATE IN PROCESS EXCELLENCE INITIATIVES.
  • PRODUCE VARIOUS REPORTS AND ANALYSES AS REQUESTED BY SENIOR MANAGEMENT.
  • ADDRESS AD-HOC OPERATIONAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE INQUIRIES, RESOLVING ISSUES EFFICIENTLY.
Key Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.
  • At least 2+ years of experience in RTR or Finance function, preferably with in-depth knowledge of general accounting processes in a multinational environment and US GAAP/IFRS accounting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Able to respond flexibly to customer needs, effectively managing expectations.
  • Capacity to work in a global team environment, communicating effectively with both internal business partners and external stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems.
  • Fluency in English language.
  • Knowledge of French, Spanish, German, or Italian will be an additional advantage.
  • CPA, CIMA, ACCA, Chartered accountant, or equivalent will be an additional advantage.
