Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Solutions Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Cloud Security group, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to improve the product's outlook and ensure the success of global businesses and organizations.

You will combine software development, networking, data analysis, and systems administration experience with an aptitude for technical consulting, troubleshooting, and analysis. This role requires the ability to diagnose and resolve customer problems, design and implement new operations, productivity, and investigation tools to increase efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work non-standard working hours, including weekends, as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Customer Support: Act as a consultant and subject-matter-expert for stakeholders in engineering, business, and customer organizations to resolve technical deployment issues and improve the product's outlook.
  • Technical Expertise: Obtain and maintain an understanding of Google's product technology and software architectures, build in-product self-service solutions.
  • Collaboration: Work with multiple product and engineering teams on understanding ways to improve the product and interact with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams to deliver production excellence.
  • Innovation: Advocate for customers by representing issues to Product Management and Software Engineering and develop innovative ways to resolve issues.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
  • Experience: 4 years of experience reading code in a general-purpose coding language, triaging SaaS products, and troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Skills: Ability to work non-standard working hours, certification in security, experience with Linux/Unix, and knowledge of web technologies.
