Job Title: Senior Python Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Developer to join our team at ITFS sp. z o.o. in a remote B2B with ITFS (outsourcing) project in the pharma industry.

About the Project

The project involves developing and maintaining Python packages using tools such as setup tools and poetry. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Python's ecosystem, including pip and package metadata management.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop and maintain Python packages using tools such as setup tools and poetry.
  2. Perform package development tasks, including creating and managing Python packages, handling dependencies, and ensuring compatibility across different environments.
  3. Conduct package testing using frameworks like unit test or pytest, and utilize code coverage tools (e.g., coverage.py) to ensure high code quality.
  4. Manage and interact with code repositories outside of PyPI, such as private or company-wide repositories. (Posit Package Manager)
  5. Work with GitHub and GitLab for version control, including creating branches, managing pull requests, and understanding various Git workflows.
  6. Create and maintain GitLab pipeline workflows and various bash scripts used for automation throughout the project.
Requirements
  • Min. 4 years of experience.
  • Proven experience in advanced Python programming, including package development and maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of Python's ecosystem, including pip and package metadata management.
  • Proficiency in unit testing and code coverage tools.
  • Experience with version control systems, especially Git, and familiarity with Git workflows.
  • Experience with Bash.
  • Knowledge of Python package representations and structure, including metaprogramming and static code analysis.
  • English level min. B2.
