Job Summary

Cooper Standard is seeking a skilled Cost Estimator to join our European team. As a key member of our Central Estimating department, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate and timely cost estimates for our products and projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our products and processes to ensure accurate cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Engineering, and Manufacturing, to gather data and information necessary for cost estimation.
  • Analyze data and prepare detailed cost estimates for products, projects, and services.
  • Participate in Pricing Committee meetings to review and discuss new quotations.
  • Consult with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders to discuss and resolve cost estimation issues.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in finance, industrial engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in cost estimation, finance, or a related field, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including database management and pivot tables.
  • SAP experience is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Work Environment

  • General office setting.
  • Potential business trips to visit Cooper Standard production plants in Europe.

Language

English for business purposes is mandatory; fluency is appreciated.
