Backend Developer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Developer to join our team at Ibm Polska Sp. z o.o. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Node.js and be able to design, develop, and maintain backend systems using this technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop backend systems using Node.js.
  • Collaborate with the front-end development team to define API contracts and ensure seamless integration.
  • Write efficient and optimized SQL queries for relational databases.
  • Work on non-relational data models using NoSQL databases such as Cloudant and MongoDB.
  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs to enable communication between front-end and back-end systems.
  • Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms for secure API access.
  • Ensure the performance, scalability, and reliability of backend systems.
  • Monitor, analyze, and support applications in production to identify and resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to deploy and manage application environments.
  • Write and maintain unit tests and conduct integration testing to ensure code quality and reliability.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in backend development and database technologies.
  • Document technical specifications, code changes, and system architecture for future reference.

Requirements:

We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer with expertise in Node.js and experience in designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software development principles, including design patterns, architecture, and testing.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise:

We prefer candidates with experience in Cloud Computing, NoSQL databases, and RESTful APIs.
