About the Role

  • The Data Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our data infrastructure, which includes data lakes, data warehouses, pipelines, and monitoring systems.
  • This role requires strong leadership skills, as you will be managing and mentoring a team of data engineers to foster a collaborative and innovative environment.
  • You will work closely with various teams to acquire and integrate data from multiple sources, ensuring high-quality data that meets business needs.
  • The successful candidate will establish monitoring systems to guarantee data quality, accuracy, and availability.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design and implement data infrastructure, including data lakes, data warehouses, pipelines, and monitoring systems.
  2. Lead the development of data models to support data warehousing and analytical use cases.
  3. Oversee the creation of robust data pipelines, ensuring efficient data flow and near real-time processing.
  4. Collaborate with various teams to acquire and integrate data from multiple sources.
  5. Establish monitoring systems to ensure data quality, accuracy, and availability.
  6. Manage and mentor a team of data engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

Requirements

  • A university degree in Computer Science or a related field is necessary, ideally a PhD or Master's degree.
  • At least 8 years of relevant work experience in data engineering roles is required.
  • Expertise in data acquisition, lake, warehousing, modeling, and orchestration is a must.
  • Strong knowledge of common columnar file formats used in data applications is also required.
