Our growth over the coming few years is expected to be exponential across all our divisions and software platforms, hence we're looking for a skilled Lead PHP Developer who will be able to help us in implementing and leading various projects for our current and future clients.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Working as a senior software engineer in PHP/Symfony projects
  • Applying and maintaining software development best practices within the team
  • Oversee and execute process improvements and the development of policies, procedures, methods, and tools in support of delivery.
  • Actively participate in daily development team huddles for discussions on developments/progress
  • Engage in technical discussions and collaborative problem-solving to devise innovative solutions for complex data handling and visualization issues
  • Collaborate directly with the Frontend team to ensure coherent implementation and functionality
  • Assist front-end team delivery of React front-end by liaising and coordinating back-end API work accordingly
  • Complete tasks and sprints and update status in JIRA, ensuring timely project progress.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 4+ years of professional software development experience, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality products in PHP/Symfony
  • Experience of modern engineering principles, practices and processes such as SOLID, OOP, MVC, REST, CD/CI, TDD, BDD and DDD
  • Experience of agile methodology (SCRUM, KANBAN)
  • Experience of version control software (git/bitbucket)
  • Experience in automated testing tools and frameworks (PHPUnit)
  • Solid understanding of relational database technologies (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, Oracle).
