Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Financial Analyst to manage and oversee all aspects of global corporate tax compliance. The successful candidate will assist with VAT/GST, and other indirect taxes as needed for APAC, Canada, and Europe.

This role involves working closely with various departments within the organization to ensure accurate and timely tax filings, identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Undertake a variety of tax assignments, requiring knowledge of principles and techniques commonly employed.
  2. Coordinate the completion of CIT/VAT and various tax returns by required deadlines, perform data quality checks before sending information to external parties, and ensure an internal control framework is in place.
  3. Support the preparation and review of CIT/VAT audits and accruals by required deadlines of entities of the group in different countries.
  4. Support the accounting team during the month-end financial closing cycle for all tax-related topics.
  5. Provide guidance to the finance, accounting, and operational teams on compliance requirements and applicable tax criteria.
  6. Monitor compliance training sessions and discussions to ensure internal staff is educated on tax laws, processes, and guidelines.
  7. Maintain the company's tax data, update tax rates, and correct data errors to ensure tax filings are accurately processed.
  8. Support and improve internal tax audit capabilities to identify tax exposures and compliance risks before external audits take place.
  9. Prepare and carry out initial investigations into tax issues.
  10. Prepare reports and studies for management.
  11. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance within the corporate tax function.
  12. Stay up-to-date with changes in corporate income tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the organization.
  13. Maintain and update the corporate income tax calendar and task matrix to ensure all compliance deadlines are met.
