We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Data Engineer to join our team at State Street. As a key member of our Global Technology Services (GTS) team, you will play a critical role in driving our company's digital transformation and expanding business capabilities using industry best practices and advanced technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-volume data ingestion components and solutions to collect data from various sources.
  • Build data integrations between on-prem/cloud-based systems.
  • Manage and use appropriate tools in the cloud data lake development and deployment.
  • Develop and implement cloud infrastructure to support current and future business needs.
  • Participate in technical design, application build, configuration, unit testing, and production deployment.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues, including determining and providing workaround solutions or escalating to service owners.
  • Maintain technical documentation.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of work experience with hands-on cloud data migration development experience.
  • Industry experience (preferably in Financial Services) in supporting enterprise applications and exposure to cloud-based database engineering platforms.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • BS or Equivalent Finance/Computer Science degree.

Preferred Skills:

  • AWS Cloud Data Engineering with Databricks.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud data migration on AWS using Databricks and maintaining cloud-based database systems.
  • Experience with Apache Kafka streaming processing and Python scripting.
  • Expertise in Data Modeling and DB design with strong skills in performance tuning.
  • Proficiency in GIT, Jenkins, Oracle PL/SQL, Postgres, and Autosys/Control-M/Job Schedulers.

Work Schedule:

Hybrid – 3-4 Days work from office
