Steamfitter-Pipefitter Operator

We are looking for an experienced Industrial Piping Maintenance Expert to join our team at McAsphalt. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing industrial piping systems, ensuring that they operate safely and efficiently.

1. Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine layout requirements
2. Cut openings in walls, floors, and ceilings using hand or power tools
3. Select and install pipes of the correct size and type
4. Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required shapes using hand and power tools
5. Weld, braze, cement, solder, and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping systems
6. Install supports, valves, piping, and control systems
7. Test systems for leaks using testing equipment
8. Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush systems
9. Remove and replace worn components and reactivate systems

• Prior experience with high-pressure boilers is a strong asset
• A strong work ethic and ability to work effectively in small teams
• A reliable method of transportation to and from work in a timely manner
• Ability to work under pressure, being responsible, resourceful, and autonomous
• Ability to work outdoors at height and in all environments
• Experience with pumps, piping, heat tracing, hot oil heaters is considered an asset
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills in English with a strong interpersonal attitude
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel at an intermediate level with strong organizational skills
