As part of this team, you will be working at the nexus of Pega Infinity running on Pega Cloud, providing tooling automation for our Pega Cloud Operations team and helping to ensure our clients receive data‑access requests, configuration changes, software maintenance, and updates in a standardized, consistent manner, all without downtime using the latest Cloud technologies. Our Pega Cloud team is distributed globally with three major technology centers in the US, EU, and India. What You’ll Do at Pega 60% – Cloud Software Engineering Contribute to software design and build highly available, scalable cloud‑native systems using Golang, Java, or Pega Platform. Work as part of a collaborative agile team and lead complex user stories and simple epics to completion. Participate in code reviews, providing helpful and relevant feedback. Develop understandable, well‑documented code that meets the team’s coding and design standards. Design and execute basic unit, integration, and API tests leveraging appropriate testing frameworks. Work with Product Owners and other stakeholders to design and document new Pega Cloud features. Assist our operations team and other engineering teams with sophisticated support for the product throughout the service lifecycle. Automate complex operational activities by leveraging DevOps tools and building CI/CD pipelines for multiple services. 20% – Cloud Service Design Design and execute basic unit, integration, and API tests leveraging appropriate testing frameworks. Who You Are You are a passionate developer with sufficient experience to drive chunks of work to completion independently. You are an effective communicator, open to feedback, and willing to share thoughts and ask questions. You are passionate about learning new technologies and enjoy working in an agile environment that values collaboration and teamwork. You understand the basics of DevOps culture and have a quality‑oriented mindset. What You’ve Accomplished 2+ years of experience in software designing and development. Strong knowledge of Golang or Java. Strong understanding of software design principles, design patterns, and the ability to produce software designs for small‑scale projects. Experience with building DevOps automation and pipeline tools (Jenkins/Gradle). A solid understanding of Cloud technologies (equivalent to AWS Associate Architect, GCP Associate Cloud Engineer, or similar). A solid understanding of Kubernetes and Docker containers (equivalent to CKAD certification). A strong understanding of Infrastructure as a Code principles (Helm/Terraform). Strong understanding of RDBMS and best practices for application development. Accustomed to Agile methodologies. Fluent in English.
