This Position reports to: Principle Software Engineer Our Process Automation business offers a range of solutions for process and hybrid industries, including integrated automation, electrification and digital solutions, control technologies, software and advanced services, as well as measurement and analytics and marine offerings. PA IS tasks include the development and maintenance of digital solutions used across our division. As an AI Architect, you will be part of the PA IS Innovation AI team, developing cutting‑edge AI solutions. We lead projects in the areas of Generative AI (GenAI), Large Language Models (LLMs), Natural Language Processing (NLP), Deep Learning, and Computer Vision. Your responsibilities: Design, develop, and release cross‑technology AI solutions. Contribute throughout the product development lifecycle, as the team is fully responsible for development and delivery. Design and evaluate AI architectures to ensure scalability, performance, and maintainability. Ensure compliance with Information Security and Cybersecurity requirements in all AI‑related solutions. Prepare cost and time estimations for AI initiatives, supporting planning and budgeting processes. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines tailored for AI/ML solutions. Manage AIOps and MLOps practices to ensure reliable deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management of AI models. Work in a cross‑disciplinary team, using agile development methodology that requires active participation in all team activities. Conduct market scouting and prototyping of new technologies. Work in an international team and communicate in English on a daily basis. Your background: To be successful in this role, you bring a minimum of five years of experience in AI software development, gained in roles such as AI Software Developer or AI Software Engineer. You have strong expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs), with particular focus on GPT-based architectures, and hands‑on experience with Azure AI Foundry. You demonstrate a deep understanding of Generative AI architectures, including Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG), multi‑agent systems, and frameworks such as AutoGen. You have a solid grasp of software design principles, algorithms, and data structures, and ideally bring experience with frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI. Your experience includes working with cloud technologies - preferably Microsoft Azure - as well as good knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and version control. You are familiar with REST APIs and microservices architecture, and knowledge of frontend technologies such as React or Angular would be an advantage. Exposure to machine learning projects, for example in anomaly detection or computer vision, is considered a plus. You hold at least a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, and you communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken. We value people from different backgrounds.
