Job Opportunity: Oracle Database Administrator (ExaCC/Exadata) – Permanent – Remote (Poland Only)We are seeking a skilled Oracle Database SME with strong hands-on experience in Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer (ExaCC) for a permanent remote role based in PolandNote: Visa sponsorship is not available. Only candidates currently residing in Poland will be considered.Job Purpose:The Oracle Database SME will be responsible for the full lifecycle of database operations, including Incident, Change, Problem, Knowledge, Availability, and Capacity Management across multiple database platforms. This is a senior-level position requiring deep technical expertise in Oracle ExaCC, along with secondary experience in DB2 LUW, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.Core Responsibilities:Handle L2/L3 support for production and project environments.Install, configure, and manage Oracle 12c through 19c including Oracle RAC, Grid Infrastructure, ASM, and OEM.Design and implement CDB & PDB architectures.Set up and maintain DataGuard, RMAN backups using ZFS/ZDLRA, and Data Domain.Perform database upgrades, patching, and release management using automated scripts.Work with Oracle ExaCC Cloud dashboard to provision and manage resources.Manage Oracle SRs and assist in issue resolution.Use Ansible, Puppet, and scripting (Shell, Perl, Python) for monitoring, automation, and deployment tasks.Monitor Exadata performance and system health using ExaChk, CellCLI, DCLI.Collaborate with development teams to support application scalability and performance.Develop and maintain thorough documentation of architecture, configurations, and procedures.Participate in on-call rotation and provide weekend support as needed.Required Skills:10–12 years of hands-on Oracle Database Administration experience across diverse OS platforms.6–8 years of experience specifically with Oracle ExaCC/Exadata environments.Expertise in Oracle upgrades, performance tuning, HA/DR strategies, and troubleshooting.Proficient in Shell scripting, Perl, and Python, with proven experience creating Ansible playbooks and Puppet scripts.Experience with enterprise backup tools like CommVault, NetBackup, Cohesity, or Data Domain.Strong understanding of Oracle ASM, RAC, and Grid Infrastructure on both Linux and Windows platforms.Solid documentation and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with global teams.Nice to Have:Oracle certification(s).Background in the accounting/finance domain.Proficiency in German language (preferred but not mandatory).Technology Stack:Database: Oracle ExaCC/Exadata (Primary), DB2 LUW, MySQL, PostgreSQLAutomation: Ansible, Puppet, Shell, Perl, PythonBackup Tools: CommVault, NetBackup, Cohesity, Data DomainOS Platforms: Linux, Windows ServerMonitoring/Tools: Oracle OEM, ExaChk, CellCLI, DCLI, Visio, Quest, Excel, PowerPoint
