Who Are We Looking For?

We're looking for a Senior Full-Stack JavaScript Developer who's excited by tough technical challenges and the chance to leave a real mark. This isn't a maintenance gig - you'll take the lead on refactoring, documenting, and modernizing our core MERN-based application while steering its evolution toward a cleaner, more scalable architecture.

What You'll Do

• Refactor & Modernize – Incrementally rebuild and modernize a long-standing MERN-based application.
• MongoDB Expertise – Optimize database performance (query tuning, schema refinement, indexing, architectural improvements).
• Boost Stability & Performance – Identify and address bottlenecks across the stack for faster, more reliable applications.
• Upgrade & Align – Replace outdated libraries, improve CI/CD pipelines, and align the codebase with current best practices.
• Document & Hand Over – Produce clear documentation on code, architecture, and features for continuity.
• Build New Features – Collaborate on designing and implementing new functionality alongside legacy improvements.
• Influence Roadmap – Contribute to technical decisions and modernization priorities in partnership with the team.
• Mentor & Lead – Share knowledge, support team development, and influence hiring and technical standards as we grow.

Who You Are

• 5+ years of senior-level, hands-on experience in full-stack JavaScript/TypeScript development.
• Strong + React expertise, with readiness to adopt/lead transition into
• Deep MongoDB experience, including query optimization, indexing, and schema design. No SQL proven experience in data architecture and main frameworks.
• Proven success in refactoring and stabilizing complex legacy codebases.
• Solid grasp of performance optimization across the stack.
• Clear, pragmatic communicator in fluent English; confident in daily collaboration.
• Experience with CI/CD, testing frameworks, and Agile workflows.
• Bonus: experience mentoring, leading small teams, or shaping technical culture.
• Bonus: leveraging AI-assisted development tools (Copilot, code analyzers) and integrating AI into applications.

Current: MongoDB, , , React (legacy)

Transitioning to: (experience is a strong plus)

Supporting: GitHub, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions)

Practices: Sprints, code reviews, async collaboration (GitHub, ClickUp, Google Workspace)
