Job Description
The
Director of Software Development
will be responsible for leading and scaling multiple development teams, driving the design, development, and delivery of
customer- facing applications and APIs
that are enterprise-grade software solutions. This role requires a strong technical foundation in Microsoft technologies and modern cloud platforms, combined with proven
leadership in managing people, budgets, and technology roadmaps.
Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and grow multiple software development teams, ensuring delivery of scalable, secure, and high-quality applications.
• Own the budget, resourcing, and roadmap planning for development teams, aligning with organizational priorities.
• Provide technical leadership with a strong architectural foundation — defining reference architectures, ensuring system scalability, interoperability, and guiding teams in designing robust, cloud-native, and AI-enabled platforms.
• Oversee end-to-end software development lifecycle, including architecture, coding standards, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Partner with product, data, and business stakeholders to define and execute technology strategies that deliver measurable business impact.
• Drive adoption of engineering best practices, DevOps, and agile/Scrum methodologies across teams.
• Mentor, coach, and develop engineering leaders and individual contributors to foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Stay ahead of emerging trends in cloud, AI, and software engineering to introduce innovative solutions.

Qualifications

• Extensive of progressive software engineering experience, including 3+ years in leadership roles.
• Expertise in Microsoft technologies (.NET, C#, SQL Server, NoSQL) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Deep understanding of system design, microservices, APIs, distributed computing, and DevOps/CI/CD.
• Strong track record managing multi-team operations: resource planning, budgeting, and performance.
• Strategic leader with hands-on technical credibility, business acumen, and global team experience.
• Passionate about innovation, talent development, and integrating emerging tech such as Generative AI.

This is hybrid model role with at least 3 days in the office in Krakow.
