This position reports to the Director of HSE Department.

ABB Sp. z o.o. Branch in Bielsko-Biała.

Your Responsibilities

  • Implementing health and safety policies, goals, and standards in accordance with legal guidelines and ABB's internal regulations issued in the assigned businesses: ELSP Division of Smart Power Solutions and ELSE Service Division.
  • Participating in and presenting the health and safety area during reviews in local and global businesses, operational monitoring, analyzing, and reporting OHS data.
  • Supervising health and safety working conditions in the business areas located in Bielsko-Biała ELSP and ELSE service locations, including several annual inspections at ongoing services.
  • Co-creating and implementing safety-related projects, including initiating work related to risk assessment and updating, instructions, and procedures for health and safety compliance with legal requirements.
  • Identifying training needs, planning, and ensuring the implementation of training.
  • Preparing and participating in client audits related to health and safety.
  • Performing other duties arising from the Regulation of the Council of Ministers of September 2, 1997, on health and safety services and ensuring compliance with Management Systems guidelines (ISO 14001 and ISO

Qualifications For This Position

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the health and safety department (preferably in electrical work at client services).
  • Education in health and safety as required by Polish law.
  • Knowledge of current health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work in a team and with individuals at various levels within the organization.
  • Independence in initiating actions, making decisions, and overcoming problems.
  • Ability to plan and organize one's own work.
  • Proficiency in English for effective communication.
  • Willingness to travel for business (approximately 15% annually).
