About the Role

We're looking for an engineer who enjoys working close to the hardware, understands how to make advanced algorithms run reliably on constrained compute, and feels genuinely excited about systems involving multiple autonomous devices — including drones operating in dynamic environments. A strong interest in this type of technology is just as valuable as direct industry experience. Many candidates thrive here because they simply love complex systems, robotics, and high-performance engineering. This is a true startup setting: fast-paced, collaborative, hands-on, with minimal bureaucracy and plenty of ownership.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy and optimize ML, autonomy, and perception pipelines so they run efficiently on onboard drone and robotic compute units.
  • Work with ARM-based platforms, focusing on memory hierarchy, scheduling, caches, threading, and SIMD.
  • Architect and refactor real-time systems to ensure stability, predictability, and performance during live operations.
  • Improve existing CV/ML components and introduce new ones where needed.
  • Build high-performance software that supports multi-device coordination in the field.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience building production-grade software for devices with limited compute resources.
  • Solid understanding of modern ARM architectures and OS fundamentals (real-time scheduling, memory management, cache behavior, multithreading, SIMD).
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and a working understanding of Python.
  • Experience with robotics, drones, or real-time systems is a major plus.
  • English at a level that enables smooth technical collaboration.

Required Skills

  • Previous startup experience — comfort with fast iteration, ambiguity, and hands-on work.

Pay range and compensation package
